The first day of this Conference was devoted to identifying the issues that Hispanics an underrepresented students in urban colleges encounter in their pursuit of STEM degrees.  The second day explored possible solution sets that could be brought to bear on addressing those issues so that the potential embodied in the Hispanic and underrepresented minority could be released.

This third day of the Conference brings the discussion to a close. The speakers during the Plenary Welcome session will exhort the attendees to take what they have learned at the Conference and apply it at their schools – to improve their educational offerings; to increase student support and engagement; and to facilitate the entry of more talented Hispanic and underrepresented minority students into the STEM workforce.
